Can anyone recommend a (freeware!) utility for Windows that will identify duplicate files across multiple drives and allow easy management (deleting) of said duplicates?

Thanks guys, both suggestions looks good.
I presume CCleaner is safe and not full of spyware/malware?

It did turn to st a while ago, not sure if it's back on track or not. Best do a bit of googling before you install it.

Yes.
It would (ironically) defeat the purpose if it wasn’t.

It’s also good for doing a registry scan and fixing issues.
Did it for mine and fixed a few problems I had automatically.

You mean like Avast & AVG supposedly being anti-spyware/malware/virus products & being banned by Mozilla for excessive use of user tracking? They only changed when the extensions were pulled by Mozilla.

That is a good philosophy - I've used ccleaner for years together with Malwarebytes and no issues in conjunction with the Win10 built in threat protection and a healthy dose of common sense!
