Friend and his missus are looking at making the fleet 3 > 2 so they are getting rid of two of the current cars.

It's for him, looking at saloon/estate, with abit of a sporty side. And as reliable as possible. 4pots to v8s are a possibility.

Has 13k to spend and no issues with mpg as its his daily driver to work (only a few miles a day) and he enjoys spending if its enjoyable.

He has looked as is250/300 so far but wanted other options before committing in the new year. Also the gs series of lexus but abit to wafty for him.

Let me know ideas!

A Q50 Sport/Sport Tech 210 will tick a lot of boxes if he wants a sporty newish saloon:

Or the more interesting 360bhp 3.5h hybrid model:

IS300 F Sport a decent car but when compared to the Q50 hybrid above most people will take the Infiniti:

VXR8 these are a good drivers car & a whole lot of car for the cash.

GS460 now this may be a bit to wafty but a V8 GS is a rare model but in reality I'd be buying the VXR8

Infiniti hadn't even crossed my mind.

Is it just a rebadged 450h?

No it's a segment down for starters it's a similar size to the IS300, the hybrid system is their own I've supplied a fair few & have family members that have them.
They come pretty much fully loaded with the BOSE stereo/Adaptive Cruise/Sunroof being pretty much the only options, as a grive I'd say they're sporty I wouldn't say they're on par with a 3 series but they're comparable to an S Line A4/C Class AMG Line etc.

For some reason the insurance figures are very high for it weirdly. Even vs the gs430 v8 it's twice the price?

Weirdly.

Looks a nice car though
