purchased a used mini from evans halshaw which i later discovered was still within manufacturers warranty period, despite this they sold me an extended warranty which i rejected at point of sale - sales guy said it would take ages to re-do paperwork but i could cancel when i got home, stupidly i agreed to this but they re now refusing to refund me for the 2 year warranty

do i have a cooling off period, what can i do if they continue to refuse?

purchased 20 dec 2019 with 3 months warranty left

Is there any reason you don't want the additional 21 months warranty it would offer? Find their complaints department and submit any evidence you have.

How did you pay?

If any was paid on a credit card (or some Debit cards) you will be able to get them to refund this proportion under mis-selling if the above was true

This.

And it's worth reporting it to the FCA as it boils my pee when sales people promise stuff they can't deliver on.

They have miss sold you an insurance product.

Is it still FCA? or has it been renamed?

The last warranty booklet I read the smallprint it said a 14 day cancel policy.

Have a read of your terms and conditions.

And that 14 days is normally from when you receive the paperwork with those T&C's in.

Not stupidly at all!!!!!

Sales guy said it, he's a professional, you should be able to trust what he said to you.
