Complete car novice but I’ve got a 2014 Peugeot 208 1.4 Diesel. It recently went in for a service and since it came out it sounds like a supped up boy racer car. Looking under the bonnet I see this pipe just discharging into the engine bay. Is this normal?
Yes that’s the air intake, if you follow that pipe back the opposite way it goes into the lower air box, at the back of the air box is another pipe to the air filter housing, my guess that will be detached.
