Hey guys hoping someone can shed some light here. Was revving car and oil light came on dash it said stop engine off check owners manual. The car was serviced a few months ago long with the diverter valve timing belt, water pump, thermostat and alternator belt change. However i have noticed it takes a while to warm up about 30 mins of driving. When i bought car it was saying the saying the same back then. It had a bad remap that use to drop it in limp mode aswell but that was take off. No strange funny noises from car it is stock drives well someone help pleaseee!!😔

So it is stock but has had a remap!

Both of those statements can't be true.

Have you now had it de-mapped for want of a better word?

Have checked oil and it is fine just below max mark. It may be the oil pickup pipe, sensor or oil pump worst case will get it checked by mechanic in the morning fingers crossed it aint an expensive repair😬

Right fellas at the garage and the oil sump has been taken off and we found the pick up pipe to have pieces stuck in it. So were going to clean it and see if that solves the problem.😁

I actually came here to post that you should check the oil pick up pipe in the sump, common for them to get clogged up on these engines. Either clean it really well or buy a new one as they're only £20 or so.

More importantly...pieces of what ?

You need to fix the actual cause, of whatever those "pieces" were and where they came from or it will just happen again.

Dont really know tbh the lad said it could be pieces from the dipstick. It wasn't really that bad could the previously failed dv pieces have gotten in there?
