Hi,

I’m going to have a look at the new generation X3 tomorrow with a view to selecting either a 30d or 40d. Anyone got any experiences? Any must have options ?

I’d really like a new X5 but would be concerned about the size and how it would drive.

Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Hi,

I posted the same just before Christmas and we now have an X3 40d (69 plate), test drive both and see what suits you.

I really liked the petrol but was looking for quite a high spec and the 40d had a few more options, bought a demo which had 1300 miles on so can't comment too much on mpg, although the drive home was around 39mpg.

Happy Shopping smile

re:- options, when I looked at them I felt lumbar support and e/mirrors , which I felt should've been standard on a car that price.
Pano sunroof is really cool.
Adaptive Suspension, particularly given size of wheels

  • less essential, but I'd still want on a SUV like this
Harmon Kardon.
Can't recall if reverse camera is standard, but if not something extra to aid parking.
HUD, and if not included as part of it, the speed limit display.
