2006 vw phaeton 3.0tdi 158k miles

Hey guys so I just got a vw phaeton kept it for 2weeks parked 2day I got insurance and went for drive about 30 mins later then turbo went and big clouds of white smock thaut it went in fire anyone have this problem and is it easy fix ? Will I trust a normal mechanic with it or it have to be a vw specialist? Thank you

No, if the turbo has failed the repairs could potentially be extremely expensive.

If you bought it from a dealer, now is the time to discuss the consumer rights act with them.
