Call me a cynic but setting fire to it all is a damn sight cheaper than actually recycling it all

I used to be a regular there in my younger days. IIRC there are about 10 or so scrapyards all within one area. AFAIK they make their money from breaking cars and selling parts rather than recycling so i doubt they'd get much of a payout from setting fire to it, if it was deliberate.

To be honest, given the amount of oil and grease on all the scrap metal, I'm surprised this doesn't happen more often.
