Afternoon,

Can anybody help advise on a MBO. Not in a friendly "do it" manner, but on a purely professional basis off of PH.

Thanks.

and what sort of advice are you looking for.

I recently started to go through the MBO process after I was offered the portion of the business that I had built over the last few years as the parent company wanted to exit the space. We were looking at ~25 employees.

Unfortunately, I couldn't make the numbers work but did explore both financing and the legal side of things.

I would say from my experience, it is quite daunting. Someone probably needs to leave the company in order to go and run the MBO and there is no going back...

I'd be happy to offer some advice and I know a helpful lawyer if you need one if you want to PM me

Hello,
Pleased to offer advice if I can.
Have brought in md to sell one company through a bimbo.

Also have sold another business through mbo.

So have experience from the sell side of the process.

Be careful if any VC companies are involved in the finance. They smile at your face ..... as the song goes.

My firm does corporate finance advisory, including advising on MBOs.

Given MBOs are particularly sensitive, please PM me as happy to discuss, and give some general pointers.
