Car phone holder for iPhone in wallet case

Got an iPhone that I keep in a wallet case

Can anyone recommend a phone holder for my car where I can just drop it in one handed without having to adjust anything or remove the case

In my previous car I had just strung a piece of string between vents and used the wallet case hung on it like a washing line, very simple and just worked - sadly the new car doesn’t have suitable vents

My daughter got me one of those for Xmas. I’m in the same position as the OP as my IPhone SE has quite a thick case..

I had to play around with it a bit but mine works fine when it’s pushed into the lowest slot on the vent (This stops the holder flopping forward/downwards)

If she has suitable vents the but of string method is really good. I carry a piece of string in my work bag as I often have hire cars

Simplicity is the key

Seems ok ish quality, but you literally use it one handed, drop the phone in and it grips

Done about 100 miles in two cars with it, zero issues

My phone is the massive iPhone XS Max thing or whatever it is, wallet case - no bank cards in it - it’s right on the limit of fitting but it does every time


My wife has the smaller google pixel 3a - she has lots of bank cards in her case and it works nicely

Really impressed for the money

I paid 9.99 for the first one, purchased exactly the same one today and it was 8.50
