The show was originally cancelled in 2011.... Acorah having been exposed by the other cast members who provided false names that he later went on to use during one of his fake possessions. The consultant who also appeared on most haunted at the time was misquoted (his words) in the press and the assumption was (incorrectly) made that all of the cast were in on the fakery shenanigans. Both Fielding and her husband denied this/declined to comment.
Really picked up Most Haunted in 2014 after the show found new funding (which I suspect came from Fred Batt). His house had appeared in the original series and he subsequently became a demonologist. I got the impression he wasn’t liked by the other crew members. Really dropped Most Haunted in July 2019. Fielding and Beatty are now looking for a new channel, or will possibly launch a you tube channel.

I’ve watched Most Haunted from the start. Aside from the interesting locations, as a complete sceptic I was keen to see if my viewpoint could be changed. Aside from one (well known) incident they was caught on camera.... I have seen/heard nothing that could prove to me anything other from the fact that when you are dead, you are dead.

Treat it as (at times) enjoyable hokum.

I think they did the dungeons once in Bodmin jail.

They really do freak you out.

Bodmin jail is well worth a visit if you are in the area.
