Roll bar padding

Hi all

anyone seen any roll bar padding that will fit the 50mm diameter roll bar in our geeps? All I've seen seem to be for thinner diameter tube. Hoping to make as really neat job of it. Any suggestions welcome.

Hope Newark is great for those fortunate to get there - i booked a holiday for that week without thinking!

Oh, but I will be at Harrogate with the renovated BLUE geep - anyone know the date for this one?

Shame about Newark mate but its nice to hear that your project is well on the way to completion - I look forward to a test run.
The Harrogate show is on the 13th & 14th August.

I've not come across the thread yet but i've heard rolbar padding mentioned before. Theres some on that ebay geep that Tony mentioned a few days ago (item:4554974778). Might be worth dropping the seller an email.
If you have any joy, let us know the supplier & i'll keep it on record.

I was having a look at padding a while ago. The rally shops sell it at around £7 or £8 per metre. You will need either 5 or 6 lengths if you want full coverage. I plumped for the larger of the two sizes of pipe lagging from B&Q (the grey stuff)at about 60p per length. You will have to cut one length of lagging down to size(length ways)and use two pieces per metre, then taped together to prevent sagging and falling of the rollbar! I aim on covering the padding with a vinyl sleeve, using velcro strips sewn into the sleeve.
