I have an old Iveco Cargo 80E15 as a horsebox and I can’t get the cigarette lighter to work, I’ve got a diagram which looks the same as the layout and have used this to locate the appropriate fuse but it still doesn’t work. I’m now wondering whether it’s the right fuse as I tried removing some other ones such as the hazard lights and when I took it out the hazards still worked. I can’t find another diagram so just wondering if anyone on here can help me with a diagram? Thank you

They can wear out or corrode.

Can you get it out easily?
Check for 12 Volts to the back of it.

Hi John, thanks for the reply, this is the diagram I’ve been using, it does seem to match (just upside down) but I’m wondering if the socket may need replacing as it looks a bit corroded. I can’t find another, I think the box is too old to have more copies of the diagram online. I’ll have a look through your link :-) Thanks

I would probably just piggy back in a new one on one of the bigger rates fuses

if the problem is not the fuse, for sure its in the wiring connection. better to remove it and trace the wiring for sure you can find the issue easily.

I had a look at the wiring but couldn’t see where it ended and I have no experience with vehicle wiring so didn’t dare mess with anything, i might have a look on YouTube for some help with how, thank you 😊
