Somehow picked up a screw which is embedded right on the edge of the tyre. Image here:

Will a tyre place be able to repair it?

The tyre is losing pressure very slowly so I think it has. Resigned myself to getting a new tyre I think

It is not repairable if it has holed the tyre, if it hasn't then it doesn't need repairing.

Spray it with water to see if that is where the air is escaping.

If you have someone that does hot vulcanisation repairs nearby it would be worth asking them.

A conventional repair is definitely out of the question due to location.

I’d say no

Also how much is a repair £25 or so?

How much life is left in the tyre

Tyre is 3 months old. Not replaced it yet but I'm keeping an eye on it.

Works a treat and I have used them for race tyres , car tyres and van tyres. Cannot recommend enough. Easily deal with your tiny puncture and saves the tyre from being replaced.

That doesn't make it legal though.

That will be illegal to repair. Punctures can only be repaired if it is the central tread band of the tyre.
An MOT failure I think..

You can get similar here. It’s bloody good.

It’s repairable unless you’re the sort who buys winter tyres and pays for the storage of the summer ones. In which case you need a new tyre.

Which law would be broken by repairing this tyre?

More details here:-

https://www.national.co.uk/information/puncture-re...

I guess if the tyres was repaired, not conforming to the regs, that insurance would be invalid, penalties for non roadworthy cars etc etc

- the tyre has any of the ply or cord exposed.
- the base of any groove which showed in the original tread pattern of the tyre is not clearly visible;
either -
- the grooves of the tread pattern of the tyre do not have a depth of at least 1 mm throughout a continuous band measuring at least three-quarters of the breadth of the tread and round the entire outer circumference of the tyre; or
