Time to replace my existing knife rack (magnetic bamboo) and I'm thinking of either something with much stronger magnets or replacing the standard ones.

Problem is some of the knives are too heavy and can slip or can be knocked off a bit to easily.

Anyone suggest anything in particular (400mm). I suspect the upgrade route might be the only real option as a decent commercial one is not "authorised" for home use frown

Needs to be pretty, plain stainless or wooden.

We got one from Ikea a few years back - very strong and about 400mm I think, in stainless steel.

I’m thinking of getting one of these, seem like they have a good magnetic pull in the shop.

What does not suitable for home use mean? In what way? Do they interfere with pacemakers of something? 😂

Home use = passes wife test whereby it has to match the rest of the kitchen

It's a fraction longer than ideal but I'll have a look in my local Nisbets shop.

Cheers

Edit:

Just to add. I use these guys for most things. They basically sell exactly the same stock as Nisbets (they must be linked in some way) and they are nearly always cheaper.
