Hi all,

We’ve never used superpitches before but have booked to stay at Chatsworth (caravan and motorhome club site) and also at Betwys-Y-Coed in a few months on their superpitches.

The description of superpitches includes “these pitches offer facilities for drinking water, grey water and chemical disposal”.

My question is, do I need to buy any special equipment or piping etc to be able to use these facilities? Or are they provided by the sites?

When we stay on standard pitches we use aquaroll and wastemaster - will we still need to take these?

Thanks,
Rob

You'll want to connect the tap directly to the aquaroll with one of these https://www.amazon.co.uk/Aquaroll-Mains-Adaptor/dp...

And the grey waste, you can connect the caravan to drain with some corrugated hose https://www.amazon.co.uk/Metres-Caravan-Motorhome-...

No need for wastemaster

Take a length of 28mm waste pipe and length of 32mm pipe, slide one into the other (like a trombone) for storage & transporting, so it fits on your caravan front locker. Make up some angle joints from your caravan waste outlet, preferably using a flexi joint. Direct the pipes to the sites drain, like in the photos..

Thanks both. Regarding the aquaroll extension, I’ve read a few reviews saying 7.5m wasn’t long enough and that an additional extension needs to be bought too? Anyone had any experience as to whether the original adaptor of 7.5m is likely to be long enough?

Thanks again. Rob

I carry 2 lengths of flexible pipe plus a joiner for my grey water and I would say that I need to use both pieces in the majority of places where I have access to grey water drainage, as the drain is more than 6m away.

SHOP AROUND...as you can get much longer lengths on Ebay for a cheaper price than Amazon and then cut it down. Search for black flexible pipe...and I wouldn't go lower than 1 inch diameter personally.

For example...

...but there may be cheaper stuff still as I didnt do a full search.

It may be worth checking with the vendor that the inner surface is smooth as it stops nasty gunk accumulating in the grooves and is easier to clean out too. Whenever I have had a pitch with drainage and water I always swoosh some water from the tap (being careful not to touch the tap end with the hose) through the piping to give it a clean before stowing away.
