bbc said:
An 11-year-old boy is due to appear in court on Friday accused of dangerous driving and other motoring offences after an accident, police have said.

The boy has not be named but he comes from Wisbech, Cambridgeshire.

A police spokeswoman said: "He was arrested after a Ford Escort car was involved in an accident in Wisbech late on Monday."

The boy is due to face magistrates in Wisbech on Friday accused of a range of driving and motoring offences.

Specific charges he will face are dangerous driving, driving without insurance, driving without a licence, failing to stop for police and failing to stop at the scene of a collision.

The spokeswoman added that no-one was injured in the accident.

What's the betting that his punishment is a driving ban?

Is this supposed to be some kind of attempt to say "so he shouldn't be punished severely"? If so, why isn't the punishment for a speeding offence reduced if "no-one is injured"??

Did the specific charges also mention nicking the car? probably get a slap on the wrist......In my local paper the other day, a punter in a pub in Edinburgh was told some "kids" were jumping on his car outside, so he went out and confronted the "kids" one who was 8 years old, he pushed him away, anyway the plod came, he got arrested, and in court the dithering old judge said "These are only children"......wrong, they are young bloody out of control yobs, kids my arse.......

Punter fined loads of dosh. Didnt mention the "Kids" punishment at all.
