As per title - do many exist from late 90's?

They are really rare. Seems red wasn’t popular with 996s then.

There’s a lovely one at Readers’ Cars

Follow the 'what is an early 996' thread. Most interesting stuff up for sale gets posted in there.

I think they’re Recaros from early Audi RS4 so not OEM.

Was trying the figure that out myself.

Those seats are easily fixed as a second pair of OEM sports seats are about £400-500 to buy. I seem to think that particular car was advertised in the autumn of last year. I’d have bought a red one when I was looking back in 2018 though a bit like speed yellow, they sometimes command a premium over the silver, grey & black colours as it’s a rarer colour.

Was thinking the same. The spec, mileage and the first 2 pictures in particular look very similar to a car that was for sale around April/May last year. It may well have been bought and is now back up as I think a lot of people buy 996s believing they understand the risk but then discover they can't sleep at night. or they scratch the itch and move on quick.
