Help! interior steams up
Discussion
After rain and washing.
Plus intermittent electrical gremlins - fans temporarily did not function at all for about 20 minutes one day (great with a steamed-up car), and intermittent "spoiler loss" warning for a few weeks, but the spoiler is visibly up and is functioning normally every time.
Is there a leak? Possibly door seals, but the carpet feels dry, other areas to check appreciated. A 981 Cayman GTS, 2014 vintage.

Sticking heater/blower fan is common. 2 minute job to free it off if it happens, there's a thread on here about how to do it.
Have you properly cleaned your interior glass? It makes a big difference to how prone a car is to steaming up. Using aircon 'on' to demist is good if you're not already doing that. If you can't find anywhere damp, are you sure you actually have a leak?

Check if it is dry under the seat where ECU and other electrics are.
^ This, I have a Macan had the same issues with suffering horrendous condensation on all the windows and was at this time of year I had ice on the inside. The carpets in the rear were sodden!!!
Porsche found the seal around the Pano roof was leaking. Replaced under warranty thankfully.
Thanks, we had a fair bit of rain yesterday, so I had a good feel around the carpets and under the seats just now - all seems dry, and no condensation on the windows. But it steamed-up pretty comprehensively in a car wash last week, and I had major condensation with proper-sized water droplets at the base of the windscreen two or three weeks ago, plus the electrical gremlins are a bit worrying.
I'm getting it serviced next week, plus new brake discs and pads (38,000 miles) so I'll ask them to have a look.

I had the same problem on my 996 - started on the day I drove it home and drove me mad for a few weeks. I did the checks for blocked drains on the scuttle but they were ok. Took it to my local garage and got them to spray a hose on the front windscreen whilst I lay with my head in the footwell watching. Turned out to be a big rubber grommet on the bulkhead. Had been slashed by somebody to allow the CD player to be installed - Porsche CD so must have been a Porsche engineer. Took the CD player and cable right out and made a rubber patch same size as the grommet and glued it in place. That was the end of the problem.
