Do any of the PHers in Edinburgh have advice to offer on somewhere that a group of 14 blokes in our 30s to go on a Sunday afternoon for 4-ish hours, before we have to get back to the airport?

We're coming up to the city in mid-March for my best mate's stag do, and whilst we have filled most of the weekend with the generic activities one would associate with a stag do, we haven't quite got anything to do for the afternoon before our flight home.

The kind of thing I'd be looking at would be maybe a bar that has lots of pool tables/dart boards or similar, but doesn't mind us English coming in and having a few with our "legal tender" and funny accents.

I've done some googling but who really knows what is what. Maybe you've got one of those trendy new "urban mini golf" places that seem popular and are popping up? Low-key energy as we might be hungover and we've "done" go-karting etc on other stags in the past.

We're visiting the Whisky experience on the Royal Mile in the earlier part of the day, so would want to do something from maybe 1.30pm to about 5.30pm before we hop on the train/bus to the airport.

You could head for theBrewdog bar it's a short walk down the mile for you. not sure about pool tables however. Alternatively if you want the full jakey experience the Marksmen pub in Leith has a great reputation for hospitality..

You'll enjoy the Whiskey experience, i have been a few times.

Good shout forgot that was still there, OP you can get also your train from Haymarket which is a 10 min walk from there.

Until I saw the Whisky Experience in the morning thing, I'd have suggested go karting at Newbridge. It's a mile or so out from the airport, so easy to get back from.

Marcos is a good shout, or the Corn Exchange for bowling, pool/snooker or the aforementioned combat archery

Eastside on George Street has a few pool tables and free to use, ideal location more likely some talent and 5 minute walk down to tram straight to Airport.
