Hi, I'd really appreciated the help of some of you more knowledgeable members. I need a new head gasket, the parts are discontinued on the Honda site but I found them here:

https://m.autopartspro.co.uk/honda-carparts/civic-...

I wanted to know why there is a difference in size and which one will be the best fit?

Thank you so much, if I take it to get scimmed will the guy doing it likely have the gasket or will I find the correct size from him and buy it myself? I appreciate the help.

The differences in thickness are immaterial. Buy whichever one you want.

Is that because the piston to valve clearance is huge on these engines?

Let your mechanic deal with this, or whoever is skimming the head...both AFTER the head has been removed and you can see what gasket was on it.

Dont guess before hand, although on a petrol engine, more often than not small variances make little odds. If in doubt just order the thicker one.

Although most of those listings are 0.7mm anyway ? Makes no odds....but wait til you see what is currently installed and what any problems are.

No, it's because the only listed differences in the gasket thicknesses is 0.1mm which is nothing.
