Given her Grandfather has been banned from driving you would have thought Zara would be more careful?

Had to chuckle though, as the Chairman of the bench is called Roger Utley!!

Anyone here remember 'Big Rog'?

Her Grandfather hasn’t been banned from driving, has he? He voluntarily gave up his licence.

Me and my mate helped her out of a hedge in her Land Rover about 25 years ago! She was driving like a nutter.

I would imagine he was 'advised' by a higher authority than the DVLA/Court/Police that his days behind the wheel on the public highway was finished, don't you think?

How does one get a Land Rover to 91MPH for sufficient time to be nicked, without losing most of your teeth and the thing self destructing?

Have you never driven a LR Discovery then Nick? Particularly one with all the bells and whistles including a big lump under the bonnet, possibly tweaked for the 'special' customers!

I assume 'loosing your teeth' is a reference to Big Rog?

Her mother also has a bit of previous where speeding is concerned.

As I read the name Roger Utley in your post I thought “is he a magistrate now?”. But it’s almost certainly not the same man. Would be a strange coincidence, with her being divorced from another England legend.

No I haven’t

My very good mate had a Discovery, diesel, It didn’t need vent as the thing leaked like a sieve. I’m going back 15 years but it was horrendous.

No, not the same Uttley but I had to make reference due to the rugby connection!

Not that I'm aware of. They certainly seemed quite married when they appeared on Top Gear last year.

20 odd then, she was 18 or 19 or so.

I’ll not say exactly where but it was Cotswolds area, pretty remote. She was shaken but quite cordial all things considered!

Reliant Scimitar GTE, I believe, was (is?) her car of choice, whether this was the car she was driving when caught for speeding I know not!

She turned up at my daughters' school in a FF RR having driven herself from London "suitably quickly" was the description used...
