I am looking for a cage for my MkII GOlf 1989.

What's the difference between welded and bolted.

Where are good places to getr these

The car is only used on the track.

Any advice greatfully received.

Weld in cages are welded to the bodyshell, bolt in cages are bolted to the bodyshell

you can also get cages that bolt together and bolt into the car, and a fully welded cage thats bolted in ...

Edited to say. The fully welded and welded in cage will be stronger and give more stiffness than a bolt together and bolted in cage.

The tuscan racer cage is fully welded together but bolted to the chassis to allow body removal

bolt in cages are generally used where its difficult to fit a welded cage
