Any experience of TVR power upgrades?

Thinking of getting the in-car TVR power engine upgrade as seem to have lost some performance recently and reckon it is highly likely the cam is on its way out.The car has done nearly 60,000 miles with no major engine work done, just regular servicing.
Are there any better suggestions??? Would I be better just getting a new cam of the same type plus anything else that they find at the time?

Yep, had the Taraka done on my 5.0, also because the cam had had it ( at 40k).

i'm very happy with it, but then various other issues with the engine were sorted at the same time. taraka is from about £3k on a 5.0 depending on options, I'm not sure what upgrades are available on a 4.5.

Quite to talk about and take you for a spin if you like (I'm in Chesterfield and we met at the S yorks TVRCC a few months back).

having said that, I've also heard good things about V8 Developments.

A Taraka myslef -- I'd talk with Jamie or Dom, as they can cut things to your cloth I think -- and your engine size!

My Griff 500 is booked in ! Only heard good reviews.

They rebuilt my 450 last September and overall I'm very pleased. They did, however, fit a really spicey cam but I just couldnt live with it at slow speed. I had a chat with Dom and he agreed that it probably was the wrong choice for my car and he replaced it with a less spicey variety FOC.

Good bunch of guys down there and very approachable.

Had a chat with TVR power this afternoon.I have discussed an engine out job, full rebuild with new cam and ported heads. sounds good. The feeling is that an engineout job will result in effectively an almost brand new engine and should give it a little more oomph!
I will have to have a think about what cam to use as I like the drivability of the 450 and don't want to compromise that too much.

Regarding the above; anyone have any opinions about V8developments Vs. TVR power for this type of work?

Spoke to both when looking to have my Griff engine rebuilt, both are very professional, TVR Power worked out cheaper and they’ve been great with my car.
