New Vantage fuel lid problems

Anyone else have a problem with the fuel filler flap - took mine for the first time for a refuel but the flap would not open. Tried locking and opening vehicle with remote but still wouldn’t open. Took it to work as was late for meet and when I came back to the vehicle after a few hours, flap opened normally. Strange!

What am I doing wrong or is it just a one-off gremlin?

They often do that. Mine last summer was more difficult to open (2-3 pushes of the button), now is basically at the first try, almost always.

What I did though was spraying some WD40 on the locking mechanism, be sure to somewhat "slam" it when I close it and follow this advice:

Jeeez!!! After all the fuel cover problems on the old V8 and V12 Vantages, you’d have thought that this would be one area of focus for major improvement on the new model.....!
