Removing seat cushion on sports seats 987/997

Hi all,

Does anyone know how to remove the base part of the cushion (the bit you sit on) on the sport seat from this era? Lots of info on the back rest part but not the base. Do I have to take the seat out? I've seen something about a retaining pin held in by a clip but that was on a 996 era seat - not sure if they're the same.

I have the manual slider with the electric seat angle adjustment.
