Trying to get the Chim going again. Been about 5 years since I drove her properly - kids/house project/life in general in the way. So as it was nice enough today, thought I get the car out and start the cleaning process. No luck.

Cranks, fuel pump whirrs, but seemingly no spark from coil.

2.5Ohm across primary, 7KOhm across 2ndary - can anyone tell me if that's OK?

Other than that, I'm a bit stumped - can anyone tell me what I should be testing other than the coil?

I think I should be testing that the coil's got 12V on the input side, but not 100% on the circumstances (e.g what should happen with just key at ignition position, what should happen when cranking?). Unfortunately most car books still in storage, so bit helpless frown.

Key at ignition on position and you should see battery voltage at the coil positive terminal, check this first.

Just to add.
Measure between coil positive and a good engine earth. Also make this same measurement during cranking to confirm it has not dropped out are gone to a very low voltage.

Unplug the ignition amp, then ground the negative side of the coil, and the coil should crack as it produces a spark. If this work , your problem is the ignition amp, or the trigger head in the dizzy. Bit on testing the trigger head here:
