....to take a quick measurement for me ?
Basically what I need to know is the length from the rear of the car to the door hinge and length of the door itself. *There is a bit of an unmovable obstruction in my garage see !
Are these cars easy enough to get out of in single garages ??!!

By my drunken measurement its approx 107 inches from the rear of the car, with the door being 46 inches long.
Don't have any probs getting out of mine in a single garage, but to be honest I think mine is wider than most. (I do have a thick piece of foam on the wall to catch the door though)

Depends what you mean by easy - it's easy for me.
Winding the window down and fitting a snap-off steering wheel helps, as does a thin bit of polystene strategically placed against the garage brickwork.

I should get out on the drive and then push it into the garage mate. They can be a bit of a pain to clamber in and out of.

Nice one, thanks for that ladies - my garage has the chimney breast from the lounge protruding into it (cars were narrower in the 30's it seem! )
So it looks like I would have to reverse in get out and then push it in the last foot or so. I am sure I'll survive !!!!!
The snap-off steering wheel sounds like a good idea - where do I get one from and can I buy just a 'boss' kit only so I can still use the Momo range of s/wheels?

I fitted the Tekniq Snap-Off kit.
There's a chunk of the kit that I didn't need to fit and I just used the existing thin Noble spacing-plate instead (but had to remove the grounding connector from it). The advantage of the missing chunk turned out to be that I can still reach the indictor stalks, etc, with my hands still on the wheel.
No additional boss kit is required.

The reason I originally went for something like this is that I wanted the steering wheel a bit closer, the additional security of taking the wheel off was a bonus, as was ease of getting out of the car in the garage.
ps. I'm still using the original Noble/Momo steering wheel with it.

Bit confused as to what bit you left out. There seems to be a base plate that attaches to the hub and the snap-off section that goes on the back of the wheel...or am I missing something?
Last question - 320mm or 350mm wheel i.e. to be as close to standard.
