After 17 years and 113k miles, I think my car is in need of a suspension refresh. Although the outlay is considerable, I'd prefer to go "all in" rather than selectively replace only the most worn out parts.

My question is: should I replace all the arms, or should I just replace the bushes within them? Does the labour involved in removing the old bushes make it more cost-effective to just buy the whole new arm?

For context...
I've priced up a full set (front & rear) of Powerflex bushes on D911 for £528.
This compares to £744 for all new arms (front & rear) from a mixture of FrazerPart (Meyle) and Ebay (spyderperformance).

The latter obviously included bushes but they will be rubber and less durable than the Powerflex units.

I'll also be buying new anti roll bar droplinks, track and tie rod ends, and of course dampers and springs. Then have it all fitted by a pro.

By the way for anyone else looking at doing the same to their car, I've found these diagrams invaluable

Watching with interest, my C4S isn't many miles behind yours and apart from a front top strut mount it all looks original. Waiting for some dry roads to see whether I can find any faults before I dive in. Plenty of other stuff to go at, just had wheels refurbed, new front tyres and it needs engine mounts, exhaust refresh and a few other bits before I look at suspension.
