2016 X5 40d M Sport
Discussion
Done a deal and picking one up next week. Really nice spec.
Does anyone have any experience of a decent remap for it? Is it worth doing?
I've got all the M Performance bits on my 4 series, carbon splitter, diffuser, side skirts, mirrors, spoiler etc and it looks great on red (see profile).
The X5 is white, and I think it would look nice with some gloss black or carbon additions to the front and back only - very few pictures on the web as I guess it's a less popular model to add the sporty bits to.
Anyone bothered and have some pictures?

Absolutely agree, I had a 435d for a couple of years (changed to a 435i) and the engine is definitely suited to the X5 more than the 4.
I never remapped my 435d as it was a lease car and I never found it lacking.
However;

400bhp would be nice...

The 40d is a cracking engine and has plenty of poke. I don't think it needs a remap and please don't use one of those piggyback chips.
I agree, can't say I've felt the need for more than what my F15 40d has to offer from the factory.........the brakes are marginal on stopping the bloody thing as it is!Gassing Station | BMW General | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
