Hi,

I recently got a Google Pixel 4 and noticed it has a feature to turn off WiFi hotspot automatically....this is good so I don't forget. I use the hotspot so when I'm in the car my car's computer can use it to connect to DAB radio etc. I always connect my car to my phone via bluetooth. Is it possible to have it so that the hotspot turns on automatically when it's connected to my car via bluetooth or if it's plugged in via usb cable (when using android auto)?

I see that it turns itself off, but it'd be great if it could some how turn itself on, but I doubt this is possible? What about Tasker? If so, how would I go about doing this?

Cheers

edit - SOLVED - using macrodroid which appears to do the job perfectly!

You might have been thinking of the instant tethering feature but that is only for Chromebooks so would not have worked for your car radio.

Bluetooth tethering works like this, I have Bluetooth turned on all the time, and when I get into the car it connects to share the internet connection automatically.
