Hi so a bit of background

The car has been sitting for around 8 months without being started as need up going away from home for work purposes.

So I've tried starting the car. But unfortunately the battery was completely flat. I tried jump starting it with no avail. So I ended up replacing the battery.

I'm having the same issues. When I try starting it . The dashboard lights etc come on. But the car doesn't seem to start. It makes no noise. Only the electrics seem to work ie lights radio etc. I tried jump starting it on second gear. Starts for a few seconds but as soon as I leave the clutch entirely it completely dies off.

But even in statiotioary position I keep turning the key ...nothing happens apart from the electrics working. But if I keep turning the keep on and off. It's manages to start slightly but struggles as I let of off the clutch .

What can this be ?

Err, seized or sticking starter motor, I would presume.

Your post is more than a bit confusing.

To start with you say - "But the car doesn't seem to start. It makes no noise."

Later you say - "But if I keep turning the keep on and off. It's manages to start slightly but struggles as I let of off the clutch"

You need to describe things better & get back to basics.

Is there fuel in the tank?

Does the fuel pump start/prime when you first turn the key?

Pull the plugs after trying to start & see if they are wet.

While they are out check for a spark.
