I need to replace my GoPro, it still works but is getting a bit long in the tooth (Hero 3 Blk ed I think) plus it didn't like getting dragged up the A421 behind the TVR at high leptons, until I realised it had unmounted itself and was held on by the tether!

What should I replace it with? GP Hero 8 Blk edition or is there something else that is equally as good or better. Cost not an issue but being tight & Northern if I can spend less and get a great product I'm there!

I have the Hero 8 Black, slight upgrade from the 7 I had before that. Compared to the 3, huge difference in my opinion. I use mine mainly on my MTB and like that I can use voice commands that actually work flawlessly.

You can look at DJI's offering, very nice too, but Hero 7 spec at the moment as they need to release another now to catch up to the latest GoPro again.

GoPro are still the one's to beat in this sector.

Thanks went for the Hero 8 using their trade-up program. £100 trade for my bruised & battered Hero 3 so the price was £280. I have a load of accessories I will bay off inc the LCD backpac which will chip another few quid off the total cost.

The new insta 360 one r looks nice. You get the viewfinder/brains and can clip modules to it such as a standard 4K camera, a 360 camera or a 5.7 k one inch sensor module. The quality looks really good.
