Can I get the above software update on a 2015 Vanquish? If so, is a free dealer flash or will they charge the usual AM 'arm and leg'?

I was wondering the same thing for my 2011 N420.

Lol. Of course they will charge you a small fortune. I enquired about the upgrade on a Vanquish from ami 2 to 3 and was told it was a few £k.

AMI II to III is a hardware and software upgrade. I am sure I have read (perhaps on here even) it is in the 3-4k range.

IMO you would be better going to aston installations and having carplay fitted instead for a lot less money.

My MY16 V12 Vantage S had this done by Aston Martin Bristol. It was done in conjunction with fitting the Performance Pack and Titanium exhaust for the previous owner (my dad) so I don't have a breakdown of the individual part costs, only the total, but from memory on its own it was around £3k.

I had the update to add Android Auto support after I got the car which was done as a software update at a service.

Probably a cheaper option - I just use Android Auto for navigation, don't listen to music/radio whilst driving, so the rest of the AMI III upgrades are lost on me.

Benefit of the official upgrade I that it is just that though, an official upgrade. No future buyers are going to query it or potentially turn their noses up at it.
Not that I'd have an issue with the Aston Installations upgrade - I was considering having it done myself if I switched to an older Roadster.
