Hi,

I'm doing a bit of research for an article I'm writing about the motorcycle market and its prospects over the next year and it would be great if i could get some background info about the type of sales and bikes under consideration.

If you have two spare minutes, could you complete my survey - https://s.surveyplanet.com/-1eePXM5

You don't have to be buying a brand new bike, secondhand sales are also of interest.

Its not very long, and no personal or identifying information is gathered. Its just for some background info.

Hi

Just tried to complete it but the questions which should allow more than one answer don't work, you may want to fix that ....

Thanks for letting me know. I've found the "multiple answers allowed" check box and altered it, so you should be good to go now.

Try re-wording the last question as well.

Done,

It's not relevant to me personally as I have just bought a new bike, but we will be buying one for my Mrs once she has passed her test so I have based my answers on that.

I'm not fully sure what you're after, but in my case the PCP deal is running out later this year, and I have an open mind. The way you have phrased the questions meant I pretty much answered "maybe" to everything!

To expand, I'm not against buying another brand new bike if I find the right deal, or a second hand one if it makes more sense financially. Likewise, if no offers appeal, I might keep my bike and upgrade some bits (maybe). The only thing I know is that it will be a 1000cc+ adventure bike, as that type of bike suits my style of riding right now (however little I'll actually take it on faraway trails frown).

I hope this helps makes your survey relevant to your goal smile

Don't worry, it's not just you, it is deliberately vague.

I'm trying to find out general opinions on buying a new machine, its just to spark off a few things that might lead me to be able to investigate (as an example, if i got a load of responses saying "New bikes are too expensive" i might look at how current prices compare to 10 years ago in relation to average earnings)

On the subject of new bikes, what's the deal with 0cc electric bikes? Can CBT riders use these? Are they legal on a motorway?

For A1 licences (i.e. CBT) the motors of an electric can be higher than 11kW (15hp) peak power, as it's taken as a measure of continuous/net power instead.

Done.

Was planning on buying a newer bike this year but spent it on eye surgery.

Probably next year now.

Thanks everyone for completing the survey! Some great info and some interesting comments that give me some good points and opinions to research further.

Cheers!
