Refurbished Laptops?

[bitchstewie]

Does anyone have any recommendations on somewhere that sells refurbished laptops?

Amazon have tons of models where they claim "Product works and looks like new. Backed by the 1-year Amazon Renewed Guarantee." but I'm naturally cautious of how true the "looks like new" may be.

I don't need a cutting edge laptop for the stuff I do so it's difficult to justify hundreds of pounds when a £220 business Thinkpad would almost certainly do just fine, but I don't want something banged and scuffed up either

Dell Outlet is well worth a look.

I bought mine from Power Computing, no issues at all

Thing with Amazon is that you'll have no hassle if what arrives doesn't meet your expectations, which might be more valuable than being able to view a product somewhere that won't accept a return. You have better rights under Distance Selling to, though Amazon go beyond that anyway.

I have bought 3 Lenovo Thinkpads from Ebay.
Plenty of Sellers of ex Corporate Machines that are honestly graded.

Had a problem with one and it was swapped straight out.
Find a Seller that has a few in Stock.

At my last job we bought a lot of desktops from Gigarefurb. Service was always good

Had a couple over the years from laptopsdirect.co.uk with no dramas. Set your budget, check the website every day or two to get a feel for specs/prices and what they reduce into your price band, then pick up a bargain when they reduce something that you like the look of. Most recent one was £400 for an £800RRP laptop under a year old.

I've bought some from here, all ok. https://www.valucomputers.co.uk/index.html

I've had 2 from here and FiL bought one from them too - no complaints and excellent value.

www.mycheaplaptop.co.uk/ - which was recommended on another thread to me last year.
