What car is it?
Micro USB was depreciated a couple of years back and USB-C took its place, if it's a brand new car then it's likely using USB-C as that's become the defacto standard across the industry for USB devices and laptops (apart from Apple though I believe the new ipad is USB-C)
They look very similar

The MacBooks are all USB-C charging in current generation.Micro USB was depreciated a couple of years back and USB-C took its place, if it's a brand new car then it's likely using USB-C as that's become the defacto standard across the industry for USB devices and laptops (apart from Apple though I believe the new ipad is USB-C)

I bet the port on the car is USB C if it’s fairly new

Yeah saw that one before ordered then cancelled it as its standard mico usb to micro usb I need micro usb2 they have the rounded edge.
I'm a bit confused as I can't see any reference to micro USB 2, only A & B versions. The B version has the rounded edges:https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USB_hardware#Micro_c...
The linked Amazon item seems to be a B version?
Usb 2 is a usb communication standard, not a cable. All usb cables work with all usb versions. I.e. a micro usb to usb c cable works with usb 1, 2, and 3.
You don't want an OTG cable. That is a special cable for attaching the likes of usb keys to tablets / phones. You simply want a micro usb male to male cable.

No he doesn't: he's already said he now realises it's a USB C cable. Add to that the micro USB M-M isn't a valid cable format anyway - see the Wikipedia link. You don't want an OTG cable. So you need a USB-C to USB-C?
