I know of an M for sale for the same sort of money.

Admittedly the looks aren't to everyone's tastes, but they're pretty rare and are meant to be a performance improvement again.

512 TRs have a lot of presence though. Black ones especially so.

Get off GET OFFFFFFF... it's mine, MIIIINE...

when I can just find a extra £10k or so that is!

Mind you, that is about £8k over what I would expect to pay but I suppose it is from a well known specialist.

Basically expect bigger service bills, budget 30% up on the V8s, because they're a bigger engine. The TR was a big improvement on the Series 1 both handling, performance and aesthetically... the M was improved a bit more, but in my humble opinion, not enough to make up for the better looking TR front end.

It is definitely the car for me in the next couple of years - I am thinking of trading my 348 Spider for a 308/328 for a year or so specifically so that I can put money aside for a TR.

ANNIESDAD - may I have a copy of the report please - I'll email you.

thanks.

If you like TR's, you might like this short video I took of my friend's car from my Gallardo last weekend in Australia. (We were testing a new rear view camera mount.) They are a great car.

One on my list for one day also Look amazing on the road.

Best colour i think is TDF Blue on these - used to be one near me in VW sounded awesome and great inside.

TR big step on in terms of interior etc over Testarossa, M another evolution dynamically. That one At MM has been there a long while - I know cos I keep staring at it!!

Yeah the 512 is a little overpriced but they wont move on the price at this point so...

Its now a toss up between this and a 360 for the summer.
not sure yet which to go for yet.

Had a "sound test" with Nicks red 360 at the MTV "pimp my ride" shoot a few weeks ago and the car and exhaust sounds amazing.
Thanks nick for the vid clips !
Even Westwood was impressed with the sound of the new exhaust on the 360 !
Stunning car in red with crema leather.

Used to own one Pete they are stunning..........size takes a bit of getting used to but it soon shrinks around you, power noise and looks fantastic.......its what the Testarossa should have been to start with!

Did you enjoy the car matt ?
What was to good and band points of ownership ?

Would you choose the 512 over the 360 for example ?

thanks Matt

Hi Pete

Bad points, really are only the expense of having the cambelts done, but if you buy one from a retail garage I would insist the belts are done then and IRRC they are every 3 years.......I cant think of any other bad points........

Compared to a 360.............very different car, a well kept 512 TR should hold its money well, they are a thundering performer, they are very very fast and feel it........I passed a pal in his GT3 Esprit who was doing 160 MPH like he was stood still, and I saw an indicated 195.........I like the 360 but would rather have a 512...........drive both Pete its the only way..

Never feel tempted to roll up the sleeves of your suit and team it with pastel T-shirts and espadrilles.

change for 1st to 2nd is entertaining if i remember rightly from my brief blat in one.

strangely addictive car... the 512 was Frank Mountain's first Ferrari... now look what's happened, he owns ever one from 250GTO to F1 car with F40, F50 and Enzo inbetween!

go for it... has masses more prescence that the F355 or F360
