I'd like:

- A feature phone (as opposed to a smart phone) - physical buttons, long battery life, etc.
- 4G, so I can tether my laptop when I'm out and about
- Ability to run a messaging system that uses data (i.e. WhatsApp, Signal or any other..).
- Ideally, the ability to run dual sim cards, but this is not completely essential really.

There's plenty of feature phones, some which run dual sim cards and very few of which apparently will run WhatsApp - but mostly this seems based on rumour rather than fact. I've no idea whether I can tether through any of them.

Help!

Thank you.

This was the only one I could come up with, but I couldn't see if it definitively ran WhatsApp (or any another data message app). Just loads of articles rumouring it will be able to dated early 2019... it's only £70 or so, but I didn't want to spend that and then realise it didn't do what I wanted.

I have very little signal in my house, so I do need it to run WhatsApp or similar over WiFi

I wanted the following, for a period when having an obvious "smart" phone was a no-np:
-4g
-Google account integration
-Whatsapp
-Dual Sim
-Decent battery

Ended up with a Nokia 2720 4g.

It does have whatsapp - I have one as a back-up phone.

The thing you will find (as I have) is that you will be amazed how you ever typed anything out more than about 30 characters using a T9 keypad and so messaging and texts will soon be a chore.
