hello everybody,

used to post up here a few years back before i had passed my bike test, mrs getting pregnant put an end to getting it done at the time however over the last few months i have gotten "back on the horse" an in the space of 4 months done cbt/theory/mod1 an then on XMAS EVE mod2!

managed to get myself a really nice example of a yamaha fzr 600 genesis delivered just before xmas with a load of spare parts..

Currently living in my conservatory until i finish sorting out groundwork and erecting a timber shed with sunk ground anchor.

At the moment iv got dainese 2 piece leathers, shoei lid, rst evo gloves, tcx boots and a 2 piece rst textiles which fits where it sits - wondering if there is are other bits of kit people would recommend buying be it for the garage/shed or for when im out and about on the bike.

Cheers.

That brings back memories. My older brother used to have one and when I lived with him briefly in London he used to take me on the back. Being young and stupid I didn’t think about the fact that I had no protective gear except a borrowed helmet and my brother was notorious for crashing! It was fun though :-)

"thermal fleece neck warmer" ~£3 on your favourite auction site. The cheapest item that you will get the most benefit from.

Nice bike..

If your kit doesn't have a decent one fitted, get a decent back protector smile

Have fun ...

Make sure the tyres are in good shape, check the date code on them and ensure that the pads, fluid and discs are all good.

Nice bike,

ACF 50 if you plan on riding it much through winter, anything to help it from rotting away.

Definitely this, mine has been an absolute godsend. I think I paid £4 for one and it's fantastic.

Looks in great order,

Congrats on the bike and the test.

I'd recommend an Abba stand for when you're working on it with a front lift kit.

Thanks for the nice words, the bike really has been looked after during its time so I intend to keep it that way!

Acf50 definitely on the cards as the weather picks up, bike won't be seeing rain or stty days.

Iv just ordered a couple of neck warmers off amazon, thanks.

I intend on buying the back protector from dainese that fits inside the leather jacket.

It's not long has some batlaxs fitted pal, brakes all seem to be fine as previous owner had rear brakes done but left the front we they where good.. Might just fit some new pads or upgrade to the r6 calipers which go straight on these?
