Weirdly the span adjuster on my OEM Honda brake lever has seized up. I removed from bike & emptied a can of WD40 into the adjuster innards, but can only make adjustments with with a screwdriver & what seems like too much force.
Assuming its fked, I will buy a new one, but was thinking of getting a half decent aftermarket set of clutch & brake levers.
I don't do tracks & am a cheapskate, but am wary of ebay Chinese 'specials'....
Any pointers???

Surely you just need to adjust it the one time and then leave it alone. Unless you do it for different gloves maybe?

I’d personally buy another £50 OEM lever from the local Honda dealer. I used to break brake levers quite regularly when crashing in club racing many moons back but always bought OEM.

Evotech levers are quite nice and won't break the bank.

+1, bought a set for mine and they're lovely. Half the price of ASV and feel just as nice.

Don't buy cheap Chinese. My mate had a fairly large off when he changed his levers for short Chinese ones. Front locked up on him.

I had this when I bought a bike with cheap Chinese levers, the tolerances were out so it didn’t open the system fully when the lever was released, after a bit of spirited riding and some heat the front brake locked solid, fortunately this happened on a long straight and it just slowed me down at a controllable pace.

I have bought Evotech stuff before - very good quality & decent delivery service. Unfortunately they do not appear to do levers for my bike.....

I've used Evotech, Diamond, ASV, Valtermoto and Brembo, all have been great but found Valter and Brembo to be my top picks.

If those aren't within budget i'd replace with OEM.

I swear I'm the only person that's had Chineseium levers for years and they are totally fine (for my wee commute bike)... laugh

I normally go for Strada 7 replacements though or OE...

I have ordered some second hand hopefully genuine pazzo ones.

Options were cheap Chinese ones, Bad Dog which are apparently similar but sold by sportsbikeshop so maybe better QC?
Evotech or ASV/Pazzo at twice the price.

Pazzo is a good choice.

+1. Also, I'd add CNC Racing to the list.

Looks like nice stuff, but over twice what I want to pay, as I'm a cheapskate!!

Yeah, CNC Racing levers aren't cheap. But they are gorgeous to behold in the metal cloud9
