I have what I assume is a very unusual problem . My wife has an eye issue that means its difficult to focus in bright light . Due to software being no longer supported she has had to upgrade her laptop . She uses a monitor and keyboard in the office and works from home . Her old monitor will not work with the new laptop . Something to do with resolution I think . We have tried various screens but she just cannot read/work with an LED screen . When we updated the TV a couple of years ago she had a similar problem and hates the picture on our 50 inch LED tv. I recently set up the old LCD tv in another room and she can see that perfectly , even though all other family members think the new set is a much better picture . Can anyone suggest things we can try . I have gone through every setting possible on laptop and monitor but any help would be gratefully received .

yeah we need specs here really.

Assume you have just turned the brightness on any other monitor she has tried down? Contrast etc are all adjustable and I can't imagine it being too hard to get it set the way she wants.

In what way will it not work? No output whatsoever, flickering, resolution wrong?
