1.3 Astra 2016 plate ..150k miles

1.3 diesal...1 previous owner.

It's getting sold at a low price  ( due to the miles its driven most probably ) by a local car dealer. Drives all good .

 

I can only assume it's got such high mileage either it did alot of motor miles or it may have been used to hire it out ?


The price is good for the year . It drives well. 

Would you stay away from it ? Or buy it  if it's in good nick?

Having had a 1.3 diesel Astra before, I'd make sure the history properly checks out - it would likely have been a fleet car previously (so hire, police, business pool car etc.) - is it white? Check turbocharger operation, clutch (plant foot in 6th at about 40mph and check for slip) and gearbox going smoothly into all gears both cold and warm.

I'm not too good with terminology what do you mean by slip ? I am a pretty experienced driver though.

I'm terms of history . There's some history not full history.

Thanks I thought only petrol cars needed a time belt ?

Petrol or diesel cars will use a timing belt or chain to drive the camshaft(s)
