Touchpad on laptop has gone a bit weird

The touchpad on my laptop has decided to go a bit strange. Boot the laptop up and it works fine. After maybe 5mins or so, it gets stuck on scrolling. so if I move my finger over the mouse pad, rather than moving the mouse cursor, it scrolls up or down. If I reboot the computer, it goes back to working absolutely fine for a while. The machine is running both Ubuntu and Windows 10, and the same error occurs with both OSs, so I'm assuming it's a hardware issue....any suggestions? I did recently clean it with a spritz of IPA and gave it a wipe over, but I have done that plenty of times before on other machines without any problems!?

Ignore - turned PC off and left it off for 30mins or so....rebooted and it seems to be working, for now! Weird.
