For a good while now I have been teasing my wife about this and telling her she is the only person in the known universe that watches it. ( she also gets giddy with delight at the Sewing Bee)
It seems to have been confirmed by everyone she talks with, unanimously answered with ‘wtf’
Having caught the last 2 episodes I am starting to enjoy it.
Am I going to be able to inform her that it is not just the two of us....

The missus and I did used to watch it when it when it was on BBC2 with Sara Cox (2015 & 17) but haven't watched any of the new series since it moved to its new home on More4.

Fun game is to try to predict at which point Keith will cry in any given episode biggrin

At first I was disturbed by Keith, find him quite endearing now, herself was somewhat vocal regarding the channel switch, apparently apart from adverts all is well.

I watched one episode and thought it was alright. Couldn't help but feel that Mel Sykes is longing for the gig on GBBO though.

It's the clay version of GBBO.

I don't live to far from Middleport pottery, it was used in the last series of Peaky Blinders also, I've been a few times and it amazes me how good it looks on TV. Wife wants to watch it as it's local, although I am starting to find it interesting.

Seems to have Jenson Button's ex in this series also.

Yep. Watch this with my wife. Really enjoy it. Often don’t like the things that are produced (with the odd exception) and get annoyed at the judge crying over a piece of pottery. I like him though and he is passionate about his subject.

Essential Wednesday viewing

Yes. Summer in Middleport happened on the 13th July last year, so I think they swooped in and spent all day flying their drone around and got a few hours of blue-sky footage that they're dribbling out over the episodes in 8-second blasts.

Middleport: the Burslem Riviera.

Cripes. Seems she went out with Prince Harry as well.

I confess I did think she was a bit of alright.

What about some kind of competitive ironing or washing up show?

You know those stupid ideas for programmes that Alan Partridge used to suggest to his boss? They are all coming true.

I've watched every one and love it. Especially liked the chess sets the other day.

I like the way Keith gets emotional too. Including about the over-confident young fella.

New series currently filming and doesn't seem like Mel is back this series. New potential presenter has been spotted, some woman from Derry Girls I believe.

If it's the brunette from Derry Girls it could be ok. Keep the faith.

It's not. I was told her name and forgot it so had to google again, Siobhan McSweeney.
Bit weird as nothing has been announced but Mel has not been at the pottery and Siobhan has with regularity. Good to see it's still being filmed though, I do love this show.

Fair enough. Sad it's not the brunette, but Siobhan McSweeney is funny.

With all due respect to Mrs Waynedear, that one’s not going to make Keith cry.

A valiant effort though. smile.
