2014/2015 Audi R8 - Good time to buy?

I have recently started looking at an entry into the world of "Supercars" (I know some people will disagree with that term).
I have always like the Audi R8, so I thought this would be a good place to start.
At the moment a 2016 Audi R8 is around £70 - £80k, but a 2014/15 is around £50k, and a 2010/11 around £40k..
Looking at the GMFV of a 2014/15 4.2 V8 they are around £25k, but looking at current 2010 prices, I don't think they would dip that low and should hold well around that £40k area.
Is my thinking correct?
And then what are some 'must-haves' and possibly things to avoid? Or other cars in that price bracket and age that I should look at?
