Reminds me of being in Portchester in 1971. There is a little road on the A27 going inland opposite where the old caff and Vosper and Thorneycroft were, and about 600 yds up there was a bridge under the railway line. The bridge was only about 6' or 7' high, and I took the road to go north of Fareham. A Moggie 1000 hot dog van, similar to the Escort, was coming the other way and it was clear he wasn't going to make it, so I flashed my headlights to warn him. Except he took it in the opposite sense and accelerated. The result was one half of a Moggie my side of the bridge, and a lot of hot dogs, shards of fibre, cooking equipment and what have you scattered all over the place. What a pity mobile phones didn't exist to take the picture.

£25k is cheap for one, and this one does have some extra character.

Is it an original in period van or a modern conversion? Nothing in the sellers write up which makes me think the latter.

Yes its a lot of lolly. Youd have to be a screwball to buy it. Mind you, its a Feast for the eyes and if it was sponsored by Beachdene then....

Unless it was built ike this or converted over 30 years ago it is NOT MoT exempt. I would suggest this would be classed as a major modification.
Pretty cool though. Doubt the big lump on the back would help acceleration, handling or mpg.
