Hi Guy's,

Simple question - but I'm guessing the answer won't be so simple, how can I save streaming video from the internet??

Want to save a live webcast to watch at a later date.

Cheers

IIRC there's software that will do this, but in the meantime have a poke about in your Temp Internet Files and see if it's there (sorting by filesize will help), then copy to somewhere else.

If its Realplayer you can use Streambox VCR, its pretty good and free. Im not sure if it works with MS files but if you here it might help http://pub25.ezboard.com/fstreemeboxvcrfrm1

Sometimes it saves a .tmp file which automatically deletes.
WebEx, for example, does this, which we use at work a lot because 'they' think we can't save it. However if you can catch the file just before the end of Webcast (it stands out amongst the other .tmp files by date (and it'll be a biggish file) then you can save it and view it later. With WebEx you have to change the file ending to .wrf and download the WebEx player to play it back.
