Hi Guy's I thought I would explain why I use the large head rivets and it's basically
for strength, If you can imagine the sides of your Bonnet are not too thick there only a couple of mils thick and these rivets are very thin but they cover a larger surface area than the small fixings and being very thin they don't impact the body when the Bonnet is closed and when closed you can hardly see the rivets but if you touch them up with body colour you can't see them at all when the Bonnet is closed, I hope you can understand, However I do use other fixings like the small head rivets also the countersunk rivets and the stainless steel countersunk bolts, So if anyone wants to change to any of these just let me know and I'll let you have them and It's a simple job to change them you just drill one rivet out at a time by using a 5mm drill bit and then replace it with your chosen new one, If you want any more info let me know, Regards Allan

Happy Birthday Allan Howell.

Hope you have a good day in these challenging times Allan.

I'm sure a lot of your bonnet conversions are in use during the 'lockdown' as people clean their engine compartments.
