Rolling road - 10th July

We have arranged a Jaguar day on the 10th July at Surrey Rolling Road at Camberley GU15 3DF.

The idea is to have 10 - 20 cars catering for Jaguar XK8/Rs XJ8/Rs and S Type Rs

The day will involve having certain tests carried out on our cars, individually strapped to their rolling road machinery so that equations such as power to wheel ratio, exhaust emissions, etc. can be recorded and shown to owners.

They are also allowing us to arrange our very own BBQ whilst our cars undergo the tests which might make it a useful day out. If you are interested, let me know here on the forum. The cost for the road test is £40 per car, the BBQ will obviously be extra. Anyone interested.

I am trying to get Chas from Racing Green to be involved so he can explain how we can get more power from our engines if we require it.

PS I'm away to Le Mans 16th to 21st inclusive so I won't be able to reply during that time

Can I have some details of when/ where etc for the rolling road thang please? I'm off to Italia next week so wont be picking any mails up between tomorrow and the 10th......

Sorry Norm no, I prefer to think my car has 370BHP, I don't want to be disappointed when I find only 200BHP makes it to the wheels!!!!

If it's on it will be at Surrey Rolling Road, Camberley Surrey GU15 3DF
I would think from mid morning Suday 10th, just depends if enough want to go.
I will post if still on or not Monday/Tuesday

Rolling Road IS cancelled, seems to be clashing with to many other things.

Thats a shame, Norman, i was looking forward to finding out if my car lives up to my username or not... Let us know if you manage to rearrange it at a later date.
